Question about Kayenta Campground

Has anyone been able to work remote from the campgrounds? If so what site or area offered the best cell reception?

No. Unfortunately cell service is spotty to non-existent. I did see a park ranger’s setup with satellite if that’s an option for you.

We camped in 55 and 40. We had very little reception. We do not have a booster, however, and we did see people with boosters that seemed to be working. I think they were in site 29 or 32. The best reception in the park was near the visitor’s center. (We have Verizon).

we work there every spring and fall for the last 5 years. Spring is windy so best to be in the teen spots high on the kayenta loop. New campground has better views but super windy in the spring. Campsites 21-6 look great but you are down in a valley and it will be hard unless you have a good setup. At
