I read the reviews prior to booking our site and it was exactly as others shared. We arrived after it rained all day and the site was indeed a muddy mess. The roads are tight but the parking near the beach was excellent. I love how close the beach and lake were so close to our site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great campground right next to the beach. Getting into the park/sites is tight. Map your route out to your sight before pulling in.

Sites are so tight, we had to move the neighbor's campfire ring. We had a terrible time getting in our site with a 20-foot camper.
You are on dirt. It rained and everything was a muddy mess.
The paved roads in the park were half gone and had big humps in them from tree roots.
If they every fix this park up..... we will be back!

Great biking, trails, tons of dogs, beach is beautiful and dog friendly which is a plus for Florida. Not sure what the camp hosts do compared to other Florida parks we’ve visited, bathrooms are the most disgusting we’ve ever encountered. The same piece of trash was in the shower stall our entire stay. Mold throughout ceilings and stalls. No excuse for this. Such a shame since this is a beautiful location.

A really nice, big park with a lake and plenty to do, even saw some alligators near the lake, not by the campground:) Probably a 10 minute walk to the beach, which was really nice and not crowded at all. Haven't found a better place along the East Coast yet with full hookups and that price!

For me, I really enjoyed the woodsy, almost jungle feel. It's a pretty big camp area with lots to do, fishing, beach, bike riding, boat rentals, etc. The roads are in decent shape although they are narrow...feels like they were designed for one-way driving. The park could use a good cleanup (especially the bathrooms/showers and could really benefit from some additional signage throughout the park. Other than that, I would stay again...but my wife would probably be against it. Lol

There are zero sidewalks and with the many turns traffic comes quickly. The site was nice once we were parked and in good working order.

During the day the park was full of kids having fun on bikes or walking around. At night it got a little smoky with all the campfires. This park is quite a ways from downtown. The bathrooms/showers were just ok. The one thing we hated was that the sewer was located away from the site and about a foot off the ground. Impossible or very difficult to empty the tanks. The price was reasonable for FHU, but we could only use Water + Electric. Could not use STARLINK as the campground is in a very overgrown forest.

We enjoyed our stay here in our Ford Transit Camper Van. The staff was very friendly. Full hookups, dirt site which would get muddy if it rained. Included picnic table and fire pit. Sites are close, but there's lots of trees between each one and even though we could see the camper across the road from us, we were angled differently so it still felt halfway private. The bathroom had two bathroom stalls and one shower. Could have been cleaner but it was okay. We weren't there long enough to use the shower. We enjoyed biking on the streets of the campground and on the sand on the beach. Can bike or walk to the beach from the campground.

If you bring dogs, you'll want to check them frequently for ticks, as they are RAMPANT at this location. We pull one off our dog at least 50% of the time after walks.
