Katherine Landing RV Park

Now known as Katherine Landing RV Park.
Ghetto park ran by resident “park police”.
I specifically made reservations for 2 spots AND paid in advance to accommodate our 40’ DP and 25’ trailer with our 2 SxS’s. It’s a price we are willing to pay to travel with toys. Check in is at the motel down the street with no RV access other than parking lots with “trailers will be towed” signs. During check in we are informed “you can’t park your trailer in your spot (even though this was specifically discussed during my reservation phone call) but you can park it unattended in a parking lot. So be it, I disable the trailer. As we finally get set up, our kids were questioned by the “park police” why we are taking 2 spots. My wife clarified we had paid for them, they move on. I put the 2 tabs in the windshield to avoid future conversations.
We enjoy 2 days of “trail” riding around Lake Mojave and paying the Park Service another $50.00 for passes for both SxS’s.
Day 4 of what is supposed to be 5 days I get questioned AGAIN by the resident “park police”. 2 tabs are displayed in the windshield. Then they have the gall to set up across the park and take pictures and call us in??? (I heard the phone conversation).. Enough.. we pack up, load up and leave a day early.
So we spent $300.00 for 2 spots, $50.00 for the 2 SxS’s, $130.00 for a Park Pass that didn’t make it “overnight”.. to put up with this??
Sadly, Lake Mojave is a beautiful lake and the surrounding desolate desert is stunning. The Park Service dry camp grounds (there are 2) looked to be well kept.
This “RV park” is situated in the middle of a forgotten, run down trailer park that shows years of mismanagement by a federal concessionaire that doesn’t give 2 bits care to anything that doesn’t involve the dock or the boat slip rentals.
