“Wonderful ocean side campground with surprising diversity in sites”

Reviewed Jul 07, 2019

Overall Rating

I had a beach-side campsite overlooking the Pacific, but without access down to the beach. The campsites on the non-beach side of the campground are totally different from those on the bluff, even though they're just 50 feet apart from one another. Highway 101 is very close to the landward sites, but they're pretty nice nonetheless, ... more

“Amazing view”

Reviewed Jun 24, 2019

Overall Rating

We were incredibly lucky to get an ocean front site. The views are amazing. There are no hookups or showers at this campground and there is an additional dump station fee. Sites are tiny and very close together. Tent next to us was literally about 5 feet from our camper. This site should have contained our camper & vehicle easily, but ... more

“Great ocean location”

Reviewed Jun 12, 2019

Overall Rating

Nestled between the highway and the ocean, this park is five stars for location, but three stars for the disparity in sites and limited bathroom facilities. But you can’t beat the price($11 with a senior lifetime pass or$22 without). Not all sites are created equal. There are six loops(A-F) and if you can score one with an ocean view i... more

“Nice basic beachside campground”

Reviewed Aug 30, 2018

Overall Rating

Easy access to the beach from loop D. Nice campground with basic amenities. Bathrooms are small but functional. They don't stay clean for long with all the rain, mud and sandand no hand soap provided. Dump station available for a fee. Sites are mostly small but a few sites fit larger RVs. Noisy as Highway 101 passes within just a ... more

“Only 3G signal and site reserved was too small, but pretty!”

Reviewed Sep 09, 2017

Overall Rating

We had made reservations here through recreation.com and the site assigned to us (A14) was supposed to be big enough to accommodate a 36 feet long rig (our bus is 35 feet long). Unfortunately, the site was way too small for our rig AND the only signal we could get anywhere in the campground (even with a booster) was not good enough for... more

“Stunning views and coast line ”

Reviewed Jul 29, 2017

Overall Rating

Klaloch is a boon-docking campground with no water, sewer or power hookups but it books up every year and is hard to reserve for one reason: the magnificent coastline. Stunning beaches with cool log forts made by campers, and amazing sunsets make you forget about lack of RV comforts. Some of the sites on the cliffs are astounding but s... more

“Beautiful location”

Reviewed Jul 18, 2017

Overall Rating

Would have loved to be able to get a waterfront site, but inside sites are still nice. Sites are spaced nicely and can be full shade, or mostly sun depending on beach front or interior. Some reviews had commented on noise from the road, but in our July visit, we noticed the sounds of the ocean much more than the road. The price is a ... more

“Great for dog friendly beach action.”

Reviewed Apr 20, 2016

Gorgeous spot on the WA coast with access to a dog friendly beach. ..hard to find in the Olympic National Park area. Water available and dump site, no services at pitch. Go early, place fills up, particularly the ocean front pitches.

“Beautiful, but crowded.”

Reviewed Apr 17, 2016

We pulled in to Kalaloch on a Saturday afternoon in April (when the park is first come, first served.) We were able to find a lovely site, but of course the ocean view spots were taken. If we could have, we would have snagged one when they were vacated the next day. Our plan is to check for an ocean view reservation periodically throug... more

“Favorite camping spot in Olympic National Park”

Reviewed Mar 24, 2016

Overall Rating

Olympic National Park is one of my favorite places, and this campground puts you right in the heart of the coastal and forest portions of the park. No other park in the United States has beaches that have the wild and remote character of those found in Olympic National Park. While Kalaloch Beach itself isn't as impressive as some o... more
