Just stayed for one night on our way through the area.
Mainly lake front sites with uninterrupted views.
Vault toilets but usable.
Electricity and water at site.
Very peaceful and a great place to watch the sunset. There are trails I believe but the excessive heat made exploration impossible .

We stayed at site C30 on the east side for 3 nights 4 days. The site was very clean and on the far end butting the tree line. The site pad is gravel and was a little unleve but not terrible. We have a 32 foot bump pull and two vehicles, with room to still spare. It is only water and electricity, there is a restroom and dump station on site, and fire pits. We had a clear view and a very short walk to the water. It was really quite at each camp ground, minus a neighbors dog barking at everyone. It is pet friendly, you do have to have them on a leash or in a play pin. The camp hosts do drive around to each camp site every morning and evening. As well as a sheriff drives through now and again. Definitely recommend anyone that is traveling down hwy 377 from Oklahoma to Texas or versa. That needs a nice quite place to stay, this is a must on the list.

Two distinct areas here on either side of Highway 377. The east side (C Loop) is a more basic area with gravel sites along the waterfront. I was camped on the west side (D Loop) where all the sites have level concrete pads, and concrete sitting areas with a picnic table. Beware that a few of the sites here have a downhill drive to the parking pad which could present bottoming-out issues for some larger rigs. D2 had a nice view of the lake through some trees. The shower house consists of two bathrooms with a toilet, sink and shower in each separate bathroom.
The Cross Timber Trail heads out from the west side about a 1/2 mile from the camping loop. I went for an early morning hike and thoroughly enjoyed it. I went about 3.5 miles out (the entire trial is 14 miles) and back. A great hike through the woods with some nice lake views mixed in.

The park is divided into two parts (east and west) by Hwy 377. The east side campsites are located in the “C” loop. The RV pads are gravel and are almost all are on the water. The C loop only has a pit toilet.
The west side campsites are in the “B” loop and have concrete pads and a proper shower house.
The trail head is located on the west side.

We had a great time at this site. Our camper backed into a heavily wooded area and was not far from the lake. Many sites were on the lake with minimal shade but there were some areas you could walk right into the lake to swim. Lots of people brought their boats to this location. There was good fishing and I saw a lot of fryers at each camp site. Some sites, including ours, were very close to the neighbors. My three year old threw a rock and literally almost hit our neighbors tent. That was the biggest negative to the site. They also allow tent camping at the camper spaces. Our neighbors had tents and about 20 people partying loudly into the night. We walked the campground and everyone else seemed to be at a normal noise level so I think we just got unlucky. There are no trails on the east side of the park. If you go to the west there is a long, hard hiking trail you can camp along. I think it’s about 12 or 14 miles. This is not a kid friendly trail unfortunately. They had water, electric, and a dump site. We will camp here again at one of the spots on the lake when the water gets a little warmer. Very short drive from dfw. Well maintained site overall.
