Just a place to camp with fire ring and table but the location and scenery were great! Pit toilets and no hookups but a great place to visit and hike. No cell service and nice to be off the grid!

We had a bit of an issue with our solar acting up. But we did have our generator, so it worked out. No access to potable water, had to drive miles to get it, so make sure you have it before entering the park. The sites are VERY small so choose wisely. The road in is a bit steep. BUT, all in all, I would definitely recommend this park if you are capable of boondocking. We will be back!

I researched carefully, but did not see that we shared the same driveway.
This is a very very busy campground. Lots of people driving through on a narrow road. Just happy I didn’t meet anyone on my way out.
I headed over to Belle campground and was able to get a FCFS site that easily fit my 28’ trailer with room to park my truck on the same site.
Loved all the rocks and the proximity to several trails (but this also makes the traffic much heavier as everyone, whether staying in the campground or not, is looking for a place to park and hike the trails).
No services, no cell service.

All sites dry camping, be sure to fill your water tank at the visitor center before entering the campground. Also there is no dump station in the park. Check the size of the site before booking as most sites are sized for small campers or tents. Only about 20-25 sites will hold a RV larger than 22”. Try to get one of the pull-through sites as they are larger.

The rec.gov website asks for vehicle length, not the tap length you need. The camp host didn’t think we’d be able to fit but he let us try. We fit our truck and 5th wheel - about 50 ft just fine. Overall a wonderful stay. Try the Joshua Tree Saloon just outside the park for open air or inside dining and live music. Fun!

Centrally located in Joshua Tree NP. Our site 67 was one of most private in Jumbo Rocks but none looked too crowded by neighbors. Good location for exploring the park. No cell coverage, but this is a good reason to come to the middle of the desert.

Pretty tight quarters for many of the sites. Might consider bringing bright cones if you're a larger rig. A number of trails to hike.

Very clean. Unfortunately, no fire policy was in place. We came late afternoon and had good shade from the trailer. Lots of rocks to explore behind the camp site.

The area is beautiful and there are decent hikes. I was able to bike a bit.
There was no cell service, so in order to do some work, we had to exit the park for while.

We drove through this campground just to check it out. Two things we noted:
- Both of our Verizon phones had zero bars. Something may have changed since the review in 2019.
- I wouldn't recommend bringing any trailer over about 20' long. The turnaround at the end is very narrow and you wouldn't be able to get out without scratching up everything if you had a long RV. These sites were designed for tents, vans, truck campers, smaller class-Cs, and maybe a short class-A on the few longer ones along the main road.
Having said that, this is a cool place to stay. Many of the sites are right up against the rocks and are very unique.
