It's conveniently located to explore Joshua Tree NP, but other than that I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here. We were woken up by loud music further away in the area, but man the sound sure does carry. Also, I didn't like that they have some of the RV sites arranged so that front porches are facing one another. No bushes for privacy so you're basically staring right into your neighbors spot.

There weren’t many people when I got in on a Sunday night and I asked if I could be away from other people. There are about 80 tent sites. The dude put me RIGHT NEXT to other campers. I found that a bit irritating since there were only four other tent campers.
Anyways good enough place if you want to explore the area. Reminds me a lot of hostels I’ve stayed in with the way it is set up.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Joshua Tree RV park. The park was clean (including the showers) and quiet at night. We were greeted when we arrived and the check-in process was very efficient. The oleander bushes and trees provide adequate shade (reached ~97’ F during the sunny days) and you need to ensure your trailer faces East or you may battle the sun in the late afternoon. We felt badly for those whose door faced the setting sun. The towns of Joshua Tree and Twenty Nine Palms are nearby (~10m drive) for supplies. The north entrance to Joshua Tree NP is around 20m and the West entrance is around 15m from the RV park. Full hook-ups (ours were 50A) were a necessity during our late May stay at the RV park to keep us cool with AC during the warm weather. The sites were easy to get into and generally level. The only dislike was the lack of grass in the area, however with the location being a desert, the landscaping of mostly rock is completely understandable. An outdoor carpet is a must if you want a cleaner outdoor enjoyment area. We would stay again when we visit the area.

My children wanted to fish in the pond, beware they have a sign with fines if you catch the wrong fish ($100 if you catch Koi, fines if you don’t release fish within 10 seconds)...no way you can enjoyably fish with children under these circumstances.

The hookups are very nice and we had no issues! The sites are on a hill and are not level front to back. We were able to level out with our front jack, but saw the class C in front of us having issues and ended up moving sites. The sites are very roomy and are laid out well, with big trees in between for privacy. Overall, a great place to stay!

We liked the campground but from the beginning the water here was OFF. Despite our RV filter and our Berkey the water coming from their hookups tasted sour and was completely un-drinkable. A few days after leaving the site we started getting horrendous smells in our RV. We found that our water filter and electric boiler smelled like dead fish AND water heater smelled like rotten eggs. After testing all had a high amount of bacteria. Both filters, boiler, and water heater rod had to be replaced. Costing hundreds of dollars. Not happy about this situation.

There is a nice fishing lake on the grounds and lots of wildlife such as birds and rabbits. The office has some snacks, food, drinks and firewood for sale. There isn’t any WiFi but Verizon signal was strong. It is only about 20 mins to the two park gates nearby and about 10 mins to the town of Joshua Tree. Only certain sites have sewer connections so make sure you specify when reserving. I recommend getting a burger at the Joshua Tree Saloon while you’re in town.

Nice desert park with good variety of spots. It’s the kind of park that nickel and dimes you on kids, pets, electricity, etc. we elected to stay in dry camp area to save $ and the spaces are bigger. They are an Escapees discount park. Showers & bathrooms are very clean and well maintained.

This park was an ideal location for staying near Joshua Tree, about 15 minutes drive, and it’s also about 15-20 minutes from town (grocery, gas, restaurants) to both the east and west. Our site was level and spacious enough to easily pull-through while leaving plenty of room to park our truck. We paid $35 for W/E and then an additional $2.50 a day for our dog (For obvious reasons, I can’t understand or appreciate a CG charging for pets), and our utilities were easy to access and worked well. Some of the campsites are FHU for an additional $5, and there is also a dump station available at the entrance that is easy to access on the way in or out. There isn’t a ton of spacing between sites, but there are mature bushes and trees that made our site feel reasonably private. On weekdays, the park was super quiet, and on the weekends it was pretty much the opposite without being anything too crazy. No one kept us up, but there was a lot of idling engines, occasional car horns, and etc.
There are bathrooms and showers on site and Wifi is available for a fee, but we didn’t use either. Our Verizon worked fairly well and was at full speed with our booster out. The park offers plenty of spacing for walking a dog and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains along with having a gorgeous lake onsite. Overall, $37.50 a night is a bit pricey, but this is a well kept place, and we would stay here again.
