I wouldn’t recommend for trailers because the road is very narrow and it’s difficult to turn around. The road goes in about 3/4 of a mile (at the most) and gets really rough. Sites are small but would be good for a smaller rig no longer than about 20-22 feet. There’s fire pits and the picnic tables. The picnic tables are nostalgic made from river rock and cement. I would camp here one night but it’s definitely not destination camping. I agree with what another reviewer said— the road across the highway offers some boondocking.

Because we were rockhounding right across the street, we were happy with the location. We pulled our 23 ft Airstream into the first site after walking the grounds because the sign said “trailers longer than 20 ft not recommend.” The sign also says no turnaround but that is not true. We were alone and that was fine and because it was cold, we didn’t sit outside or make a fire. However, based on a walk through, things seem overgrown. And no big rigs could manage here at all. If you want to be in this area, go across the street on Seven Mile Wash road. After a brief bit of wash boarding, the road is fine and there are tons of pullouts for boondocking.

What you get here is relative piece and solitude. Not too far north of Globe that you can't go to resupply, if necessary. I would imagine this is mostly a one night, stop over CG. I went around with a garbage bag and picked up after other campers. The forest service personnel I chatted with on one day were elated and would take the bag for disposal.
Lots of birds and a racoon family in the morning coming to the seasonal stream running through the CG.
