First, site E-10 should not be a campsite. There simply is no room. My camper was almost parked under the awning of the neighboring site. But besides that, in 2 days not a single person said hello, and we witnessed a screaming family argument (on Thanksgiving), my wife witnessed two women in a near fist fight arguing about hot water usage in the bathrooms, and as we were leaving we saw a State Trooper there for some reason. Maybe the campground can't be blamed for its customers, but the general negative vibe of the overwhelming number of warning signs posted everywhere implies they are getting exactly what they deserve. Also, there is no dumpster, instead, there are dozens of normal residential trashcans spread throughout the campground. It gives the place a trashy look. Maybe that is a Jekyll Island issue and not their fault, but again, it also contributes to the general negative vibe of the place.
I'll give it 3 stars because the sites are level, and the bathrooms were clean, if very dated. But if you camp here you'll probably want to stay away from your campsite as much as possible.

We spent only one night at the campground in low season but definitely we would not come back in peak season as spots are super close one to another.
And wood always $12, the most expensive we got on all our trip!

Cable did not work. And no wifi in the back of the park makes it difficult. We had decent signal with Verizon but virtually none on our t-mobile. I wouldn’t expect starlink to work as your nestled in amongst the live oaks and Spanish moss. Golf carts are a fun way to get around. The trails work for kids to ride bikes and there are a lot of e-bikes everywhere. We found the campsite pleasant with plenty of room. Close to Driftwood Beach, the fishing pier, short trek to the sea turtle center or Mosaic.
They’re currently under construction for a new expansion project. My kids loved playing in the construction sand!!

Very helpful and friendly staff (when they're around), nice level site (covered with leaves), very shady and well-protected from high winds (which kicked up during our visit; could hardly tell in the campground). Multiple bath houses, the newest one with four (or so) private shower bathrooms (the one closest to our site had three women's toilets out of order). Large laundry facility, takes coins and credit cards. Adequate water pressure and clean 30A power at site. Bugs were horrible, though (this is true on all the nearby islands).

The CG was not very full while we were there but I imagine it would feel quite tight when full. The bathhouse is satisfactory. There is a laundry which is great to have. All sites have a sewer connection. There is no dump station. The staff was very busy in the office. The island looks so natural; it is such a pleasure to see the land in this condition. There are bike trails all over the island. There is not much of a swimming beach. There are several beaches but most do not have parking. This was our 2nd visit. Surprisingly we had good cell service but used our hotspot so don't know about CG wifi.

Jekyll Island is a hidden gem, and an idyllic getaway location. Beaches, cycle paths, restaurants etc… are in abundance. The island itself never felt crowded or busy.
The campground is well located for beach and access to the rest of the island. We have a Class C without toad, and used our bikes to get around every day (you will need either a vehicle, bike or golf cart to be able to explore the island). Most of the campground is well shaded under huge oak trees covered in Spanish moss. Not sure we’ve ever visited a campground with so much shade. Section T seemed to lack some shade however. There are full hookups on all RV sites. Most are packed dirt or gravel and reasonably level. The price is quite good for what you get.
On the con side, the campground is tightly packed, and when full, feels crowded. Depending on your site, you could have someone relatively close to you on three sides. Also - the mosquitoes are quite brutal. However, we used deet spray each day and only had one bite between the two of us over 4 days, although we chose not to sit outside for most of the time because of this issue. Many campers have pop up netted tents they sit in, and I would recommend one if you enjoy sitting outside your RV. The campground management did spray the entire place while we were there (vehicle driving up and down roads spraying into the air one evening) and it made a difference the next day. The campground contains a lot of posted rules (“don’t do this / that etc…”) which may annoy some people, however our interactions with staff were always very helpful.
In short, the price is right, the location is excellent, and with the right campsite location, this is a great choice. We will be back (with netted outdoor tent and in a different campsite).
Note: there was construction going on during our stay (July 2022) which may have disturbed those close to it. Seemed they were building a new bathhouse as well as some kind of additional building.

Stayed in loop C towards the back. Here during the summer and the mosquitoes were absolutely atrocious at the campground, even with a fire and mosquito repellents. So bad that we left a day early. Biking and beaches in the area were great though! Would return in a different season.
