“Great secluded spot”
I like this area, it’s a quiet area and doesn’t seem to fill up when everywhere else does. The road and the campsites are not well maintained, so be cautious, but I’d say it’s doable in any vehicle. A lot of the sites are walk-in, but there are definitely a few that aren’t, I had no trouble finding an open one. During busy times and weekends I think they give tickets if you’re not parked in the right place, so if you’re coming from Base Station Road, make sure you drive all the way up to the height of land, you’ll see a sign with the elevation and an area to park for hiking, and then you can legally stay anywhere past that. Pretty sure you can even stay in the hikers parking area for the night in a vehicle as well. Enjoy!
