“Hard to say...”
As a Former employee of the park for 17 years its a shock to see the Unnecessary changes its gone though throughout the past 15 years. Understanding that times change, its still a Beautiful place. Site 30 is the Best site to camp in by a LONG shot.
But if Site 30 is not an option for you, I recommend any site between 49 & 57.
Do not use the Tenting sites unless you have a choice, I built them - Not recommended!
If any services (showers, water, power, etc) are magically 'Unavailable' during a season in ANY part of the park, its due to poor management... Not provincial funding. Avoid the campground during those seasons!
Still better than Gull lake & still the cleanest campground in central Alberta.
Free boat launch is located a few minutes drive North of the Campground & there IS Lake access. There are still a few little gems around there... Walk the trails... I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with what you find :)
Former Jarvis Bay Employee would stay here again
