Also, another camper found a scorpion by their picnic table, so watch out for scorpions.

I took my pop up camper for the annual shakedown. No hookups, so I was able to checkout battery and propane and solar. Facilities we’re super clean. Most traffic I saw were the 3-4 visits by the PUD park vehicle checking the bathrooms.

The spot was pleasant enough for the one night. It’s right on the Columbia River backed by pretty mountains, and lots of folks fishing. The grounds were very clean, and the vault toilets too. The night sky was stunning.

The spots pleasant enough because of the view. You’re right on the Columbia River with a backdrop of the mountains. The area is clean and so are the vault toilets. And the night sky was stunning.

August weekday I have this place to myself. Laying low while the sun drops behind the canyon rim. Pit toilets. No water. Trash cans. Waded in the river. Great place for a cool off swim before the sun gives it up for the day.

We parked our 40" motorhome and toad. plenty of room up to 40' big rigs. No Hookups. No campfires, but gas one is okay. Clean pit bathroom and garbage cans on site. We were there June 28th. Little tiny moths flying everywhere, but harmless. at little park. Ten bucks cash per night in lock box. No Tmobile cell coverage.

I stayed here because I had reserved a tour at the B Reactor Plutonium plant, but had to cancel the tour because I injured my leg the day before. Kept with the planed stay and very happy I did. Such a peaceful place. Great views and great facilities. Nice layout to this small campground.

This is a small campground on the Columbia River a few miles down-river from the Priest Rapids Dam. It's also maybe 5 miles north of the the Vernita Bridge on the east side of the river. This little campground was very peaceful. We were there in early June, mid-week and there was only one other camper about a 150 yards away. These 10 campsites are about a hundred feet up from the river so we woke up to amazing views of the huge Columbia rolling by and the hills on the other side.
The campground is about a mile down a gravel road from the highway. The gravel road was a very good condition. Actually the whole campground and road seemed brand new. We later heard this campground was built around May of 2017. There was a pit toilet that was the cleanest I have ever seen. There were also trash cans. No ranger station, you register by filling out an envelope, putting cash in it and dropping it in the box.
Btw, we had planned to stay at the Vernita bridge BLM area, but probably because of the extra wet winter the dam was releasing so much water that much of that area was under water.
In the mornings we could hear the orchard workers a mile away but other than that it was very quiet and peaceful! We had 3 bars of US cellular LTE. Also lots of sun for our solar panel!
Also, there is a free dump station and potable water at the Vernita Bridge rest area on Hwy.24 on the West side of the bridge.
