Jubilee Park & Horse Show Grounds

This campground has changed its name to Jubilee Park and Horse Show Grounds which is now managed by Ivanhoe Civic League, Inc. It is no longer free or pay what you can. There are fees for camping. Look at the pictures I posted which includes fees and rules for 2023. They also have a Facebook page.

This is a lovely spot along the New River and is near the access to the New River Trail and boat launch for kayaks and canoes. Part of the area is dirt and there are lovely grassy spots nearer the river with trees. It’s very quiet and dark at night, even with houses near-by. There are about ten hook ups and water sites for monthly rentals, some can be reserved, and others are first come first serve. You can also dry camp for a fee. Note when there is an event being held there, you probably can't stay there.

They are in the process of updating the park. They have added 50 amp electric and water sites. There is a walking loop and a playground at one end. The bathrooms are very dated and could use a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. This is a work in progress.

Make sure you turn only on Trestle Road to get to the campground and not any other options, which may end up being a lane and/or a dead end. Once you go under the New River Trail Trestle on Trestle Road, the driveway to the park is on the left. There is limited signage.

The entrance to the New River Trail is to the right of the bathroom between two yellow posts.
