“Wow the views! Bathrooms not too well kept, friendly people, nice sites”
Reviewed Jul 25, 2017
Getting here was a bit tricky with our large rig but once we got up the mountain and down to the campground (and backed into the spot) we were stunned at the views of the lake. The water level was high but since we were not going on the water, it was perfect for us.
The bathrooms were a little bit unkept and not so clean and since we only had 50amp power and no water or sewer we did need to do a little careful planning of use in our RV. Some sites have water and even some with sewer, so just pick carefully. All rangers we talked with and even on-site volunteers were very nice.
We visited Kings Canyon from here and it was also a bit of a drive, but just beautiful!
Oh, and the stars and Milky Way - WOW!
Cell service limited, but we got about 1 bar on AT&T from our spot.

The scenery at this campground is gorgeous despite the very troubling level of the lake due to four years of drought. The road to the lake travels through miles of farmland which is all irrigated...
