The interwebs says FedEx, UPS, etc. trucks have been seen delivering to sites. Could someone confirm this?

This Campground is a real scam. They rented us a location (A68) for a little over $300/week USD which is not even an integral part of the land. It is located outside the boundaries of the site, in the middle of a busy parking lot of businesses, businesses that do not even belong to them. No possibility of agreement or reimbursement, they are downright thieves.

Very tight spacing, old infrastructure, noisy, locals constantly cruise the park looking to score work (power-wash, repairs, etc.) Very little enforcement of quiet hours rules.

A vehicle other than your rv is really not needed for the most part. Easy walk pretty mych anywhere on the very narrow South Padre Island. Or rent a golf cart, or try the FREE Wave Public transpirtatio buswhich is more than half empty pretty much all day long.
The lots are maintained at a bare minimum standard. Lots of tall sticker filled grass. The hook up podiums ars falling over and wires sticking out all over the place, very rusty, they look BAD. A big lump of money was spent upgrading the beach park and pavillions and walkways but looks like zero spent on the rv park.
All of that said this is still our favorite Texas Beach RV park. As long as our electric and water and septic work we are good with that, improvements would be fantastic..but even without we book here as often as time petmits
One good thing is that the rv wash vans and propane tank trucks pass through fairly often and you can wave them down like a cab in the old days.

This park is close to the beach and amphitheater. Beautiful area with walk to restaurants. The patrol comes thru in the mornings and that’s it. Dogs run loose, and neighbors report mauling of both child and a pup. People are nice, lots of kids from full timers. There are rules but no one to enforce.

We stayed outside the main gate in the marina. I was unsure because the other reviews weren’t great but we loved it! We had the end site and it was perfect. Plenty of space for our 17ft camper trailer. There’s a lot of activity from the marina but people were respectful and we didn’t have much noise past 8. Only one night was there a party boat that left at 8 and came back at 10 and their music was quiet enough when they returned. We have two little kids and they were able to sleep through the night no problem with windows open.
The bathroom is clean though not fancy or well maintained. I had no concern using the toilet or showers which were cleaned daily.
The wind this time of year is pretty crazy but otherwise it was a wonderful location and experience.

We also were on the marina side of the gate (outside the main park gate). It wasn’t bad but the whole park is rather crowded and very little over site or attention to details. In the marina area it is very busy with restaurants, party boats and boaters driving through the park to their boats. (Shared use area) However we had a chance to look at the other options in the area (including KOA and other county parks) and it is the best bang for your buck. The main campground is $60/night and crowded alsoq, but closer to the beach areas.
A lovely beach and new facilities made it a great few days. A great location overall to see the island from and the best option. Note your county park campground pass will also allow you access to the beaches access points to drive on the beach at north end. Pretty cool.

Basic electric and water site on grass. We really liked the location on the bay/lagoon side, our nice and quiet neighbors, space between sites, our view. This area is next to a couple of great restaurants and we biked everywhere.
The main part of the campground is very crowded together and pretty unappealing.

There are fire ants everywhere throughout the campground. I got attacked right away by some small ants when setting up. Each site has different amenities, like a privacy wall, or concrete pad, so check google maps to scout out a decent site. Most sites are small and have little privacy. The check-in staff weren't friendly and gave no instructions besides giving me my access pass. The worst part for me was that the Verizon service was terrible. We stayed through Christmas and New Year's and basic websites wouldn't even load after 5 PM. Same thing for my Winegard Verizon hotspot, which I haven't had issues with anywhere.
This is essentially a no-rules campground, so I was able to get some RV renovations in. The proximity to the beach, fishing, and view of the Space X Starship Starbase is also a plus.
