“Cold but beautiful”

With the unusual weather this year (2019) I am not sure if this campground was just cold because it has been an odd year or if it is usually this cold. Either way, we were tent camping and saw rain, snow, and barely above freezing twmps in mid June. Come prepared. The campground was well maintained, toilets were clean and well stocked. There were cows in the national forest but there is fencing to keep them out of the campground. Overall it was very quiet. Our site was not completely level but not the worst I have experienced. Not sure that large trailers would be able to back in and stay. Definitely good for tent campers.

“Great Campground”

We stayed for 3 nights at Iron Mine. Loved it. Beautiful campground with lots of Aspen's and grass everywhere. Site's aren't particularly level but work great. It looked like all the fire pits had nice cooking grates attached. Although the picnic tables could use new paint, they were very sturdy and worked well.
There are a few site's that are pull thru, but most are back in. This posed a bit of difficulty for us with your 26 foot trailer but it worked out fine with a little patience.
There is great water in the campground that comes from a spring up above.
There are Vault toilets spread about the campground. They aren't in the best of shape and certainly smelled horrible, but don't most vault toilets in the heat of the summer?
Michael Greene would stay here again
