This is a small gravel parking lot at a trailhead into BLM land. It is close to a road, but not too noisy, especially after dusk. Extensive trails to enjoy and a lot of day use people hiking, walking dogs, etc. Very close to town, but feels fairly isolated. Lot of cows hanging around; watch your step. Iron Canyon Trailhead Sacramento River Bend Area (BLM). Free spot 10 minutes east of Red Bluff. Fair amount of road noise during the day. 3 Bars VZ 4G LTE unboosted. Didn't get a chance to hike the trail due to flash flooding, but the area looks like it'd be pretty.
