Our campsite was right along the lake. Small campground ACROSS the lake from the main campground for Johnson Lake SRA. Reserve America gave us directions to the main campground and none to this site. Luckily we found the camp host and found out how to get here. Nice sites, enough space for our 17 foot camper plus SUV. There are also some tent sites and a few sites for bigger RVs. Bathrooms and shower are clean but could use some updating. I hear the fishing is good here. We were only here for 1 night as we were traveling home. Electric only at our site. Water available near the entrance. Dump station available at the main campground across the lake.

30 AMP sites $25 but they have a $7 out of state fee.
Sites on the water are reserve able, so none available same day, others are first come first serve. The campground phone number gets the main site and they can say if any available.
Sites are level and well drained. Bathrooms clean, showers are interesting individual stalls. They have those annoying buttons you have to push every minutes but they were warm enough.
Campground hosts Terry & Rhonda were an absolute delight.
Agree with other posts, unless you have kids this is the place.
We had bikes and there are miles of paved trails around the area.

I September 2019 i was driving from SLC to Chicago and stopped here as a half way point. It’s only 10 miles off I-80 and paved roads all the way there. They have sites for all campers/rv’ers. I paid for a tent site even though i slept in my Xterra. The spot was beautiful, clean and right on the lake! The staff was nice, facilities were nice and clean. The reason the place didn’t get 5 stars is because I got there around 4:30 pm and they charged me a full day pass as well as an overnight pass. So the total came out to a little over $30 which was more than I wanted to spend. But still cheaper than paying for a hotel. Again, the lake was beautiful-even had a beach area where my dog and I went swimming. The campsite was nice and quiet. I would stay here again.

Very quiet and most campers were older and were fishing from there site. Lots of bugs. The camp host at first told us we couldn’t stay at the site we chose and was not the friendliest. When we explained we were staying 1 night and it was showing available online they let us stay. We have kids and I agree with other reviewer that the main campground would have been more ideal for us but there were no spots. For area I think it’s a nice spot with lake access.

If you have kids, if you want to go swimming and have easy access to a beach, go with the Main campground. If you are a fisherman and have a boat or want to fish from shore, go with the Inlet campground.
We were at Inlet. There are about ten sites right on the lake but most are limited to a 30' rig. A couple could take a bigger unit. There are about ten more on the other side of the road that can accommodate a bigger unit or a 5th wheel. We had a great spot right on the lake. Caught a couple fish right at our site although did much better at the pier by the boat ramp.
Restrooms/showers were clean but could use some renovations. Super quiet campground. Bring your bike. Very nice bike trail that circles the lake. Almost exactly a ten mile ride around the lake.
