Woodyz Acres RV Park & Campground

We stayed two nights while traveling through. We spent one day in Hannibal, which I recommend. I found the campground utilitarian. Everything worked so it served its purpose. The staff was really friendly. She drove us around and let us pick the site we wanted. I could not ask for a better camp host! Our only issue was there were obviously a lot of people that lived there, and there was a lot of junk laying around. The bathrooms, while functional, were what I would call “interesting”. See attached photo. They were definitely not cleaned in the two days we were there. I’d say if the main thing is a site that functions, this place is great. It is not a place that made us want to hang out. Sites are very close together.

I know there are some who have not given this campground a good reviews, but we were happy with our stay. The owner bent over backwards to fulfill our needs with phone and Wi-Fi as my wife had a zoom appointment.
Granted this is not a fancy KOA but did not charge us or treat us like some of those fancy places. Both the owner and her husband were working on things in the park so I would say a work still in progress.
Would stay here again if we are ever in this area!

It’s 10:30 pm and people are firing off fireworks, neighbors have bright lights on shining into rig. Tent sites are on a hill surrounded by big permanent RVs.
Paid $59.24 with senior discount for a tent site. This included a platform fee of $5 and there was no platform, not level just grass. Large foot high mound up to site, so scraped going in. Road was rocky gravel and so rutted could barely get to site. Was told sites further down were so muddy they weren’t accessible. More of an RV park, then campground. Definitely not worth the money!

Overall, Woodyz is a little rough around the edges, but a pretty good campground. When approaching from the south on Hwy 61, you’ll go past the campground on your left about a 1/4 mile to a crossover and turn around to get back to the turn in. If approaching from the north on Hwy 61, it will sneak up on you. There’s a huge Fireworks Superstore on the right about two miles before the turn-in. There’s a 30’ white statue of Mark Twain that you can see from the road at the turn in on Clements Dr. Pull in and keep heading south on Clemens Drive to the stop sign. The pool is to your left. That’s a good place to call from. We arrived late afternoon and the host greeted us once we called per the check-in instructions. She gave us our choice of 5 different pull-through sites and gave some advice on best flat spot to disconnect the TOAD. A couple of questions came up later and she responded quickly to texts. Our site was spaced far enough away from our neighbors that we were able to park our TOAD (‘17 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited) next to the RV. Electrical panel had 50 & 30 Amp connections as well as 110V plug. Water supply and sewer are conveniently located near the pedestal as well. Sewer connection is a little tall so you’ll need to position your black drain uphill if possible. They’re currently building an additional club house with showers about 100 feet north from where we stayed. There’s a smaller shower house about 250 feet south of us. There’s a little highway noise, but it’s not unreasonable. Local TV coverage was not available, but the WiFi is pretty good and we were able to stream some.
