Had a good stay here. Only stayed here one night. You’ll follow a road into the campsite and turn right at the sign. I got here kinda late and there was only one other person there. They had picnic tables and it was a quiet, safe campsite. The lake is also beautiful. I would stay here again!

This campground fit the bill while we were in the area, free and quiet. We showed up in the spring as you can tell from my pictures, so there was limited site access. As others have stated, if its been raining things will be very tough to get in and out via the access road, the main campground I'm pretty sure would stay fairly dry. Our biggest issue was the trash, however most likely all the trash was from locals using it as a party spot during the off season which is typical of areas like this.

several spots and small dock on the lake. clean pit toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. no LTE.
access road is used by heavy truck and is rutted and muddy if there has been any rain. recommend 4wd and/or high clearance.
train and trucks may be heard

We actually never made it all the way to the campsites with the bus since we got stuck badly in the mud a few hundred yards before getting there. We have heard from locals that it happens quite frequently, so be very careful if it has rained or if rain is in the forecast. The road looks good, but becomes very slippery and soft and there is nowhere to turn around before the campground.
There are 14 camping pads. The site also has a demonstration Fish Ladder that operates in May.
