Mims Northbound Rest Area

Stayed here 3 nights in a row to watch a delayed launch. Had no issues with spending the night. Arrived 830pm each night. Went to the picnic area as suggested by previous reviewer (thank you!), plenty of rv spots, no street noise. Easter weekend and only a few people out back. Highly recommend! Google map to see the route back as car parking is right on road front.

If you plan on boondocking overnight, drive past the first truck parking lot and follow the signs to the picnic area that loops back around to the entrance. There are a few spots along the picnic area where I parked for the night and ran my generator. There is also overflow truck parking in the back where you could set up if you are a larger rig (mine is 25’)
At the entrance to the first truck parking lot, right by the seperate little family restrooms there is a spigot marked “pet water”. In the morning I pulled alongside the curb and ran my hose out to fill my fresh water tank.
We left in the morning to head to Canavarel National Seashore, which is expensive but you can enter with your national park pass and is beautiful. This is the closest boondocking location I found, about one hour drive away.
