Pecos County Rest Area Eastbound

Had to get off the highway due to winds and this was so large you could park far from trucks. Nice building with displays and clean bathrooms. Very quiet.

Restrooms are very clean and nice.Slept very peacefully in our camper van behind the building. We were unable to get the free Wi-Fi to work. Would definitely recommend staying overnight.

I arrived just at last night and found parking easy. My kiddos loved the playground while I set up the pop up trailer. The bathrooms are clean, the wifi is fast, and the security is top notch. Free rest stop stay. Very clean and spacious. Mostly trucks this evening. We had plenty of space to extend slides and freedom to run the generator since trucks were running anyway. Peaceful rest.

Great place to stop and rest for the evening.

We decided to stay here just for an overnight after reading reviews vs a truck stop or Walmart option. We were pleasantly surprised - pristine clean bathrooms, large rv spaces, picnic tables, walking paths, playground, interior museum-like area with touch screen with area info. Clean , safe , & lots of spots to park. Lots of garbage cans and grass to have your kids and dog run !

Free WiFi, clean bathroom and safe.

What a beautiful rest area. Very clean and safe with all night security. Little museum and playground along with a small walking trail. You are allowed to use your generators and bring your slides out. The guards are very nice.
