Close to town for anything you need but far enough away to relax!
AT&T cell was getting 100 download and T-Mobile home internet was getting 300-400 download! Insane speeds and plenty for remote work!

Smithsonian Butte Dispersed Camping, Gooseberry Mesa, and North Creek Dispersed Camping.
North Creek Dispersed Camping was crowded and zero cell. We have high speed wifi via Intsi-connect. 5G cell coverage. The wind can and dose blow hard at times so make sure everything is secured. Easy drive to Springdale for breakfast or lunch before/after your Zion tour. VERY quiet and peaceful.

Arrived at sunset, plenty of space- no problems finding an open campsite, but problems getting to campsite- rough roads, choose one your vehicle can handle! Absolutely beautiful views of cliffs (coming here at sunset was the right move!!), huge valley with sage brush and dust. Fire rings and free starter firewood provided- but no other amenities. No privacy, no trees, can see the road but can’t really hear it. Winds picked up as evening progressed- if you are a tent camper be prepared to weigh down your tent and if you have a fire going- be careful, dry brush super close by and embers will fly. We repositioned our car to block wind- didn’t really help. Read google reviews for accurate and entertaining depiction of wind.
But the views are amazing, felt like we were in a car commercial and the proximity to Zion is FANTASTIC!!!

Beautiful 360 degree views. Road is rough, but doable. Just go slow. We did day trips to Zion, Bryce Canyon and Las Vegas. Water and dump available at local Maverik convenience store.

I stayed on the BLM land just up the hill called La Verkin Overlook Road. It was nice, AMAZING VERIZON reception. Best I’ve had so far on my travels. It was relatively quiet because there is plenty of space. Bit of trash, I cleaned up and it looked great. Amazing sunsets. Road is rough, take er slow. 20 minutes to Zion entrance

This is probably the most beautiful place we've ever stayed (especially with some snow on the cliffs in the spring). But the roads are truly horrible, especially after rain or snow. Ruts several feet deep are common. We took the first spot we found (it was muddy) and felt lucky that our fifth wheel never hit the truck. It dried out, but two days later I pulled a Class A out of the mud when the driver didn't realize how deep it went even after the dry weather.
Camping is just in the designated spots, but each spot can probably hold 5-10 rigs if necessary. Close to Zion and town. The Maverick in La Verkin has a free dump and potable water (as long as you are okay using the water tap next to the dump).
Definitely worth staying unless you really care about your rig and get stressed on horrible roads, but strongly advise scouting the area first if you have a big rig. (Now that I think about it, our 15 year old rig was probably the newest we saw here, which is probably for a good reason.)

We enjoy staying here when we visit Zion Canyon and La Verkin. The price is right and it is what it is, dirt on which to park the camper and a place to relax. There is a free dump station at the Maverick in LaVerkin, about 4 miles away.
