We have a 49 ft rig. Would this be a problem for the Hurricane Cliffs Campsites?

Sheep Bridge Road connects Hwy 9 with Hwy 59. The GPS coords in the page header are 1.6 miles in from Hwy 9, and 3.0 miles in from Hwy 59. The road is rough at the Hwy 9 end and washboarded at the Hwy 59 end, but the mid-section is excellent. I strongly recommend coming in from Hwy 59, because you will pass all the good quality, individual sites before you get to the main area. I would only camp in the main area as a last resort.
The quality of the sites towards Hwy 59 looked good, but the sites in the main area were mostly very marginal. The surface is dried sandstone mud. (That is probably why the road is a purpose-built one of crushed volcanic cinders). It is not desert pavement - there are no pebbles. Most of the sites were chewed up to some extent. The area was packed when I arrived, and I ended up in the only vacant site, directly across the road from the side roads (coords in site # above). The site had been churned up by turning vehicles when it had been wet, and it was full of deep ruts. When it rained for two days, it turned to liquid mud, and my shoes sank up to 2 inches deep.
This is a popular mountain biking area, and on many days, all the unoccupied campsites near the road were full of day-use bikers' cars and trucks. I saw many RVs pull in, find nowhere to camp, and drive off. On the Saturday, there was a formal mountain bike race, with probably 100 people. There were hours of rock music from a loud PA system, vehicles parked all over my campsite, and although they made some attempt to clean up the trash afterwards, they left wind-blown trash on the surrounding bushes. They left a 25 ft square rented canopy, which came apart in the wind after they left, and I had to call the police to get the contractor to come and take it away before it blew down the road.
The road is used by locals as a short-cut to take miles off the route between Hwys 9 and 59, and many of them raced through the camping area, particularly in the early morning, churning up dust and making noise. On many evenings, there were dirt bikers racing up and down the mesa 1/2 mile to the south.
The poor camping experience was countered by the beauty of the location, and the convenience for getting to Zion. There are mountains and mesas in all directions. When the clouds cleared after 2 days of rain, there was fresh snow on the mountains to the north, Sheep Bridge Road is named after a bridge built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, for sheep to cross the Virgin River. (It is replaced now by the concrete bridge.) A CCC sheep-loading pen is preserved on Hwy 9 by the historical marker canopy.
I got water from the Glacier machine at the Rite-Aid in St. George. It was expensive at 35c per gallon. I suppose you could get free water at one of the campsites in Zion. I bought gas, and used the free dump station, at the Maverik gas station in La Verkin. The gas price was as low as any other in the area. There is a Walmart in Hurricane. As a full-time RVer, I go in many Walmarts, and this was the cleanest, most organized, best stocked Walmart I have seen in a long time.

We used the coordinate provided on this site. From the 9 you will head south on Sheep Bridge Rd. which is clearly marked with st signs. The camping spots start about 1.5 miles down the road. There is plenty of space for a ton of dispersed rigs. There were about 12 other campers while we were here and we still felt very private. There is no camping allowed directly next to the river. All those spots have been blocked off with Private Property signs.
Some of the sites have pretty decent man made fire pits left over from previous campers. The sites are very clean. The main dirt road has a decent amount of traffic with dirt bikers, cyclists, and other recreational users so if you can, get a spot that's not right on the road if you don't like the traffic.
We had boosted Verizon 4 bars of 4G. Unboosted was about 3 bars of 4G.
Its about 17 miles (30 minutes drive) to Zion NP. I would recommend getting everything you need before parking. There is not a ton in the way of markets or food super close by and anything you find will be a tad more expensive.

This place was perfect. Lots of sites but not too many. We felt very safe here for the night we spent. The whole grounds was well kept and people respected the pack-in-pack-out routine. I would stay here 10 out of 10 times.

The views are great but the true gem is the Virgin river nearby. Go splash and cool off in summer heat. Make sure to look at the maps for what is private property and be respectful to not damage vegetation. We want places like this to keep being available to everyone.

This site was very easy to find. GPS coordinates are correct. We stayed the last week of March 2018 and were able to find a spot, but there were several other campers here. Nobody was too close though so it was peaceful. At least it was peaceful in regards to people. The wind, however, was unrelenting. We were never able to use the awning or grill because of the wind. It was brutal. We only sat outside once in the evening because of the wind as well. Hard to enjoy yourself. The site we choose is farther down the road, past a small hump, at a bend. There was really only a few usable sites past that spot. The road was doable if you drove slow. There had been some rain the day before and it was a bit worse because of that. After everything dried up the road was much better. We walked down to scout out the area which I would recommend and there was a nice pull off area right by the road entrance for us to do that. The sites are fairly level so didn't have any problems with that. Short drive to Zion and the Maverik right down the road has potable water and dump station that are free! The potable water is right next to the dump station. It can't get much easier than that. We had a great AT&T signal as well. The scenery is amazing!! So pretty. It would be five stars if the wind wasn't so brutal. Not sure if it is that time of year or if it is like that all the time.

Great sites with amazing views! Plenty of room to not be on top of anyone. Lots of mountain and dirt bikers. The roads were a little rough, but not unmanageable. We had a 34’ trailer and pulled off to the left before these coordinates, and we probably shouldn’t have. There were easier sites had we stayed on the main road.

My suggestion is to grab a spot on the South side of the gravel road. Otherwise u will get dusted out by the traffic going by.

We stayed here the Saturday to Tuesday leading up to Thanksgiving 2017. Arriving in the Virgin area right as darkness fell, we first scouted Guacamole Mesa, a.k.a. Dalton Wash Road (https://www.campendium.com/dalton-wash-road) in our second vehicle, but finding the last half mile steep and tight, and no cell service at the site we then moved on to North Creek (https://www.campendium.com/north-creek). With North Creek all but full, we then headed for Sheep Bridge Road, which we knew would be relatively easy to scout in the dark.
We easily found a massive spot that would accommodate any size rig, set back from the road a decent distance. We had neighbors, but none so close that we lacked privacy. Views expanded in every direction, including to the mouth of Zion Canyon some ~10 miles away. Cell service on Verizon 4G LTE was excellent, with ~26 Mbps down and ~12 Mbps up, unboosted.
Be aware that due to its proximity to the National Park, Sheep Bridge Road is a *very* popular camp. We were there in late November, and most decent spots were occupied. I can only imagine what it's like closer to the core of the RVing season. However, we arrived on a Saturday night which partially offset the off-season timing. If you have a large, spacious site, it's probable that someone will try to shoehorn in right next to you.
Driving to Zion from camp was simple -- a couple of miles of dirt on Sheep Bridge Road, followed by ~15 miles on the speedy, well-paved SR-9. Every traveler amenity imaginable is available in nearby La Verkin and Hurricane, roughly 5 miles away. There's a dump station at the Maverik on SR-9 in La Verkin that's free with any purchase (https://www.campendium.com/maverik-gas-station-la-verkin-ut).
While there we did some scouting and found one of the most amazing boondocking sites that I've ever come across at Gooseberry Mesa (https://www.campendium.com/gooseberry-mesa) -- I'll post a review and photos over there, too.

The views and surrounding network of bike trails make this a really enjoyable place to camp. However, this area is no secret and was crawling with campers. Spots can be hard to come by.
Excellent solar exposure but be prepared for everything you own to become covered in fine, red dirt!
