Hi everyone! Is there a specific route to get here? Which exit to take for rigs over 40’? Please help.
MNDFULLTIMERS asked on 5/11/2022
We have a 49 ft rig. Would this be a problem for the Hurricane Cliffs Campsites?

Views are insane! Mountains all around you. 4 cars were close by and other end further away but it was still quite but you can hear the road which sucked. Super windy at night caz it’s all open in between mountains

This is his a great spot close to Zion National Park and numerous Mtb. trails. The gravel road in is quite washboardy and very dusty. There are numerous camping spots along the main road.

Fire pit in all areas. I stayed for 13 days. Got cut short due to a huge bike race and most sites where reserved for event people only. They gave everyone a week notice but there is no way to find out about the event unless you were onsite. I talked to the management and they said they are trying to make it available on their website so people will know before getting there.
Cell service (Verizon) was great! Most definitely will stay here again

Hurricane Bluff was once a dispersed camping are that has now been converted into designated sites to help reduce congestions. However it seems no one knows or know one cares. We stayed in site 36 just off Sheep Bridge road in a 35 foot fifth wheel. We had several people move into the top half of our site. The same thing happened in other sites too including a group camping all around a No Camping sign. Sheep Bridge road had some wash board areas but other wise fairly well maintained. Nice sunrises and sunsets. Just 28 minutes from Zion and 6 miles into Hurricane to pick up supplies. Good cell coverage.

The main road is a little rough to drive through, but if you take it slow, you’ll be fine. The roads to the sites are a little less maintained, but still easily drive-able. This was a great spot for a quick ride to Zion in the morning.

Second time we have been here. First time was before it was a designated camping area, and there were more spots/less people. It filled up last night, but still plenty of room. Road is really washboarded on the way in, so plan on a slow drive if you're in an RV. We managed to get a 45 foot toy hauler and heavy duty truck to our spot with no issues, other than rattling apart, lol. Many of the site access roads are rutted up, so scout your spot prior to driving down it.
Lot's of room, bike trails, rabbits, and clears out during day. Internet (LTE) is great. Last speed test was 80 MBPS down/20 up. So, if you work from the road, this is a good spot. We use an external antenna for our pepwave, but phones look good too.

We LOVED our stay here! We stayed close to site 40 off of Sheep Bridge Rd. We drove through the city of Hurricane and used HWY 59 to access Sheep Bridge road. Be cautious of a rough drop off onto sheep bridge road! Our 38 ft Class A was rocking and rolling when turning off the highway onto the dirt road. Due to pot holes and ruts we were unable to access sites 1-37. Small trailers and vans could make it and did! Get here early! We drove about 2.2 miles down Sheep Bridge Road and parked by the dirt track hills. If you have a larger rig We suggest taking highway 9 towards Zion to Sheep Bridge road! The incline is not as steep and no drop offs onto the dirt road! We stayed 13 days with no issues. Campers came and went. All friendly. Pretty quiet.
Hurricane Cliffs BLM is less than 15 minutes to a gas station for gas, free water, and propane! Thanks Maverick gas stations!
Make sure to eat at the @stage_coach_grille and order the Ahi Tuna! Reservations ensure you’ll get a table before your hangry!
The entrance to @zionnps is 30 minutes away! If you must ride the shuttle into the park reserve tickets online! They release tickets at 5:00 PM Mountain time every day prior to the date. They sell out within 3 minutes so be logged in and ready!
Or...park in Springdale and ride your bike In! I have never done this before and I don’t think I want to ever drive a car into a NP again! Biking is the way to go!
Check out Mesa Rd to the UTC Aerospace System, you’re welcome!
Take the Jeep or bike to Virgin Falls Park and let the fur babies run around, splash in the water (don’t ingest it!) suntan, and hunt for rocks!
Never saw a Ranger. Pack it in Pack it out. Free dump station at Maverick gas station in town.
Cell service - we were able to work all day every day! Latency was great! Around 30 mbps down and 10 up.
Hope this helps!

Oh, and full 5G ATT coverage all the time was nice.

Be prepared to dry camp but town is only 7 minutes away if you need to stock up on supplies or water. It’s a short 25 minute drive to Zion but you can already see some of its beauty from this spot. There’s 4 different roads to access the BLM from the main road. I stayed at the sites 40-48 road, changing spots every night. Each actual spot has a metal fire ring and marker noting the site number. There are several unofficial sites that late arrivers still stayed at with no issues. I work remotely and was able to work perfectly with my hotspot so great AT&T coverage. During the day, you’ll see some wondering cattle and dirt bike riders. At night, stargazing is fantastic and quiet. I would definitely come back and stay again if in the area. My road was close to full every night so weekends I bet are full so be sure to arrive early! No shade so lots of sun for the solar!
