“Perfect stop for our first night of a three week trip”

Overall Rating
Stayed here on our first night of a three week trip in early May. Very friendly camp host. Crushed rock sight was adequately level and generously deep. Electric only, but dump station was easily accessed.
Being on the lake/reservoir the park is focused on fishing.

Very rural area. Nice lake appears to be great fishing, we did not partake. Sites strange that they don't angle to face the lake. They are large and easy to access. Two small bait and tackle shops for ice, wood and minimal essentials. Small town of Alma 8 mi away has a couple restaurants and Dollar Tree. Biggest problem was maintena... more
Very rural area. Nice lake appears to be great fishing, we did not partake. Sites strange that they don't angle to face the lake. They are large and easy to access. Two small bait and tackle shops for ice, wood and minimal essentials. Small town of Alma 8 mi away has a couple restaurants and Dollar Tree. Biggest problem was maintenance of sites. Dandy lions were 14 - 18 in tall (see pics), which added to gnat infestation. Maintenance gentleman said they been unable to get someone to work.

Well maintained and clean campground! Only paved road to the campground is through the small town of Republican City! Big Rig friendly and tenting areas! Most sites are level! All sites are gravel.
Only sites 47 - 53 have water and electric hookups. Most others are electric only! Available electric includes 20, 30, and 50 Amp service!
Dump station with potable water is within the campground! Water spigots are scattered throughout the campground!
Had 2 bars Verizon LTE!
Only able to pickup four PBS channels over the air!
Few other rigs here during our stay, so little noise!
