This spot has a lot to offer. Well-maintained sites with fire rings and picnic tables. A lake with complimentary rowboats you can use. Dump station, rinse water, potable water, bathrooms. The water is still on in mid December and they appear to be frost-free hydrants. Plus, the campground is open year 'round. I didn't see any place to leave a donation.
All of the sites are on a gently sloping hill leading down to the lake, so side-to-side leveling will be necessary pretty much everywhere.
I can hear some road traffic from Hwy 36, but the campground gets very quiet at nighttime. There isn't much light pollution either so night sky viewing is awesome!
