Overall Rating
Not a great site but it has shade, a view around the corner and we slept great! The sites we wanted were blocked off due to people leaving trash abs abusing free camping. The lake is stunning and the dam is pretty cool too!

Our campsite was filthy. There was literally human feces and toilet paper on the ground where we parked. Broken clay pigeons and shotgun shells scattered about. The ground was rocky and unlevel. Negative aspects aside, we would have loved to stay longer but had to find better cell service to keep up with work.
The natural beauty, the cool crisp air, the peace and quite... this spot was worth it.

Site is flat, but surfaced with 4in road subsurface construction broken rock. Not much of a view of reservoir due to Dense new tree growth. No shade or services. Two fire rings for use if fire danger NOT high, fire danger level posted on Ranger Station sign on main road in town. Come straight into site before turning. Do Not cut corn... more

Not much of a view of reservoir due to Dense new tree growth. No shade or services. Two fire rings for use if fire danger NOT high, fire danger level posted on Ranger Station sign on main road in town.
Come straight into site before turning. Do Not cut corner on left side of entrance or you'll high center on buried boulders.
Once in SCOUT YOUR ROUTE and spot because lot surface while flat, is rough. Go 1 mile an hour on site looking for obstacles. I moved most foot diameter rocks off main parking area, but there are some lurking on the sides where you will need to turn around.
I positioned with rear of my RV facing lake. Worked out well for my 26 ft Class C motorhome.
Probably NOT suitable for trailers over 20 ft, or motorhomes over 30 feet due to sharp turn off gravel road onto site entrance. Could fit four Class C motorhomes if positioned parallel. Lake side of lot is sawdust/dirt for possible tents.
