“Rough road, pretty scenery to dry camp ”

Overall Rating

We have a 30 foot class A motorhome and the washboard dirt road to get into this campground is absolutely atrocious! We had to take it about 5 mph on the way out but we will not be returning in our motorhome. We didn’t use but there are only pit toilets on this side and no access to the main state park on the other side without a 25 minute drive. This area is great for paddle boarding and kayaking, but the blue green algae can make swimming difficult during late summer. Surprisingly good Internet access.

My photos that feature a river are about a 35 minute drive into Lake George but highly recommended. Great trout fishing and recreation up there.
