There are 22 sites in the campground, and camping is only offered on a first-come, first-served basis. (Large groups, however, can rent the entire campground in advance - so be sure to visit the County's website Park Calendar to make sure it won't be full with a private event before you head out). https://www.co.benton.wa.us/pview.aspx?catid=45&id=55233
Camping is $30 per night for a recreational vehicle and $20 per night per tent, with a maximum of 2 tents per campsite. Sites have water and electrical hook-ups, and there is an RV dump station on the premises ($5 charge?). There are also restrooms and showers at the campground. Maximum length of stay is posted as 14 nights. Signs state no alcohol allowed, etc.
There is a mixture of paved back in and pull thru sites. Not much shade unless you get a site along the outer edges of the campground. No sight line privacy between sites, but most sites are fairly spacious with plenty of space and grassy areas. No fire pits. Sites have a picnic table and BBQ. Overall looks like a nice, basic campground for an overnight stay.
Campground is NOT close to amenities but there are a few services (restaurants/bars/grocery store/gas station/Dollar General) about 10 miles south of the campground in Benton City or about 8-12 miles east if you head towards Richland on Hwy 240.
In addition to the campground, Horn Rapids has a horse camp, model airplane facility, boat launch, and miles of multi-use trails. The park is renowned as a sanctuary for both quantity and variety of dragonflies and birds.

We stayed here to 'test' out our new trailer before bigger adventures. The campground is well maintained with no on-site host. There is a pay station as you enter the park. The RV spots are good size. Enough room for my 25' travel trailer and truck with no problems. One thing to note was the water spigot. I had never encountered one like the ones they have here but I think it has a built in vacuum breaker. When turning on the water it would come out of the vacuum breaker and not the spigot. Figured out you have to pull on the vacuum breaker as you turn on the water and then it works fine. Nice walking trails around the campground and the river isn't too far away. Bugs are a bit of a nuisance but not too bad. You are away from town by about 10 miles but you can get some good pictures of the stars because of the reduced light pollution. We have US Cellular for phone and data which works but the data can be a bit slow but still usable.

This is a nice Campground, but not very near anything. We stayed here to visit the Benton City area wineries but it's still about half an hour away from any of them. Arrived on a Friday afternoon and the campground was not very full. Mostly tent campers and a couple of other RV's. The electrical in our site was not working properly and there is no on-site host and no one readily available to contact to remedy the situation. Some sites are fully in the Sun and some are shaded. Plenty of sites for larger RVs. Site number 15 was great, near the trees and with no close adjoining sites. We can make phone calls but internet is hit or miss. Campground is posted no alcohol allowed.
