We spent 5 days here. We had one of the water/electric site. It was probably one of the longer sites (D04) so our 32’ motorhome fir fine with our car dolly and car. Bathrooms were clean enough. Showers were free.

We stayed in the site F9 and it was very tight getting our 35 foot fiver into the site as the roads are narrow in this loop. The other loops look like they might be a little easier for rigs our size and larger since they have wider access roads. This park is on a pond so be prepared for mosquitos! The sites are large, spacious, and very private. It looks like some sites can get pretty soupy when it rains. Lucky for us the sites in the “F” loop did not flood and it rained pretty steadily one of our days staying here. Over the air TV reception is pretty bad, we only got a local fox affiliate and some PBS and informercial stations, no NBC, ABC or CBS. We did get good cell coverage on both AT&T and Tmo and streamed with no issues. There are some nice walking paths in the park and lots of people come here to fish, boat and kayak. There is a nice boat launch. The Rangers are very friendly. There is easy access to I-395 but it is far enough that you don’t hear any road noise. It is quiet during the week, but don’t be surprised if some loud families come in on the weekend, as the sites are big, making it easy to pack lots of folks in. The location is nice and lots of exploring can be done using Hopeville Pond as a home base. 40 minutes to New London, an hour to Providence, an 1:20 to Newport. Overall glad we stopped here for a few days!

Camped here years ago and can see some areas have been worked on and kept up greatly, others have been left to nature (outside the campers swimming area has alot of Lilly pads now, green area used to be very open for rising, now has a lot of growth around the banks with only 2 spots to fish from. Bathhouses are cleaned 3 times a day with showers and Clovis (composting) toilets which were much nicer than expected. Also have weekly movie nights. Would definitely camp here again
