Sites were spacious. We stayed on site #90, close to the bathhouse. Easy to get into with our rig. We had water and 30 amp electric. The area is peaceful and quiet. This is the place if you want to be surrounded by nature. We walked our dog to the boat ramp. The rangers are friendly.

The campground is dated and is due to be closed and upgraded in mid May. Our site, 81 was 4 inches off level on door side. Gravel was sparse and weeds were abundant. Water supply is hard and my pre filter caught a lot of sediment and looked like chocolate milk when I opened it to clean. Inside the park, there is one 1.1 mile trail. There are two designated beaches, one near a no wake zone. And there is one playground for kids. Overall, there is plenty of space between sites and most are very shaded. The camp host sites were occupied, but I never laid eyes on one. Looking forward to seeing the renovations and will probably try again after they're complete

This park is great... However, site 142 is very difficult to pull into. It has a steep drop off from the road down to the pad. The angle is so steep that your hitch catches on the road.

30 amp plus water. All sites relatively flat. Some require backing down a slope to the pad. There’s really no bad site here. MTB trails, beach and fishing.

It had just rained when we arrived. Campsites were quite soggy, but there isn’t much you can do about that. Showers and bathrooms were clean. The dumpsters are only located near dump station. There aren’t any near the campsites.

Holly Point Campground Loop 1 has some spots that are a little steep. (Not all) We got in and out with no issues, but you could tell some people have spun tires trying to get out due to the slope and it being gravel. Recommend disconnecting weight distribution hitch prior to backing into spot due to nose of truck being pitched up higher than tail making it difficult to take pressure off distribution hitch. Nice hiking trail and swimming beach area. Lots of shade over the spots. Only negative issue was people visiting other campers. At about 10:30pm a car pulled up to a campsite near ours and sat with their high beams on pointed directly at our site for about 20 minutes. (This could obviously happen anywhere). Other than that, it was a good experience and we enjoyed our stay. T-Mobile coverage was in and out between 4G LTE with one bar to nothing.

The sites themselves are gravel/sand with timber frames to lay out the tent pad. Nice big tent pad with a fire ring, picnic table, and plenty of remaining room for your tent or canopy.
The park is focused on the lake. There are two swimming beaches as well as a boat ramp. I have heard that some sites have water access, but I don't believe there are many of those. Most will require a walk to the water. There is a nice trail in the woods that connects all of the camping loops with the beach/playground/boat ramp.
About my only complaint is that garbage is only collected at the dump station so you may have to drive to throw out your trash. Pretty minor complaint for a very nice campground.

Additionally a trail through the campground to the bathhouse would have been nice. We had to bushwack to get to the bathhouse.
The bathhouse was clean and fairly well maintained. The sites were nicely shaded and not right on top of each other. So while there were some trade off's I would stay here again.
