RV friendly FlyingJ only a mile East in Fort Stockton. Walmart is 5 minute drive. Would stay here again if passing through.

We had entered the coordinates from above, & wanted to lead us in a different direction. Luckily, I had the camps website up & followed their directions. Those were perfect!

Park is above the elevation of the interstate (hilltop), so much quieter than one would think next to IH-10. Super clean facilities, showers, laundry with great cell signals. Only minor drawback was the slow internet, but park was almost at capacity. Would stay again as nicest for many miles and cash discount of $27.Do call for directions as Google maps misses a fork or two along the frontage roads

We were headed to Davis Mountains state park when we had car trouble outside of Ozona on a Saturday. We had to be towed (truck and Airstream) and Fort Stockton was the closest place that had a Ford dealer, 80 miles away. I had to act fast and find a place to stay because there was no way we were making it to Fort Davis. A quick Google search and a quick peek here, I found Hilltop RV Park. I called and spoke to the owner, he had one spot left and it was a back- in, one that normally is reserved for long term residents. This area is booming with oilfield workers so a spot in this town is very hard to come by. Jim was wonderful, I explained our situation and told him we literally had no place to go. He gave us the long term spot for 5 days. Once we arrive he offered to take us anywhere we needed to go. He said he would follow us to the Ford dealer on Monday if we wanted him to. An all round nice guy!
The park itself is well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and there's laundry on site as well. 3 washers and 3 dryers. Reasonably priced too! There's a swimming pool, we did not use it but it looked very nice. The park is quiet and convenient to Walmart. The sunsets are just beautiful.
We would stay here again even if we weren't forced to.

This was our second stay at this park as we crossed back and forth across Texas. Our first stay was just overnight which appears to be the norm. This time we had a few days to kill before heading into Big Bend so we decided to stay for 3 nights. It's a very quiet little park with some extended stay rigs as mentioned in previous posts. The sites are gravel pull-throughs with FHU and a picnic table. Clean and quiet and the owners are very nice. There is a pool and shower house which we did not use. When we asked about things to do in the area a wine tasting room was mentioned - Grey Mule Winery so of course we had to check it out one afternoon. There are lots of different wines to choose from and the staff were very knowledgeable. We even had the chance to sit and visit with the vineyard manager. There is a nice patio to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and cheese plate. Overall our stay in Fort Stockton was very enjoyable. Price noted is for cash.

Bonuses? Some of the softest toilet paper in Texas and a very clean restroom with hot water and good pressure.
The laundry would have been very wonderful, as we couldn't find a laundromat in town..,but there's no change machine and the office doesn't open until 3pm (we pulled in after 10pm the previous night).
Extra cost for kids, even young ones. Surprisingly packed but then about half empty by 9am, leaving a landscape of clean sites available for the next night's crew of overnighters.
