The newest toilet is by far the cleanest, best smelling outhouse I’ve ever been in! The lower loop is quieter than the upper loop. Only two other sites occupied. Sixteen sites total.

Entering the CG heading east on Hwy 160, requires a hard switchback turn into the grounds. Interior roads are narrow and steep grade. Would be difficult to get turned around in the lower loop. Not a lot of shade. Nice views of the Beaver Creek valley area, but no river access due to steep cliff down. Most sites are very short in length. This campground is probably better suited for pop-ups, tent, van camping, or similar smaller footprint. Very close to highway.

The upper loop is situated above the highway and does experience more traffic noise than the lower loop. Site 3 in the upper loop has a nice view of the valley, partial shade and nice breeze. AT&T cell coverage was okay with 2 bars. Site 1 has more expansive views of the valley and more sun and is by itself on one side of the loop. ... more

Site 1 has more expansive views of the valley and more sun and is by itself on one side of the loop. Sites 3 and 4 are fairly level and good length.
There was a trash receptable, and clean pit toilets at the time of our visit. There is no drinking water available or easy access to the river from this park.

“Hello, is it me you're looking for?”

The only national forest spot of many on this stretch of highway that had any AT&T service (I was hoping to do this whole working thing here). 2 bars of AT&T 4G was more or less useless for anything other than the occasional text message, though. Right next to a pretty busy highway that is significantly more fun to drive than it is to camp alongside. There are some nice views from the campground, though, water was available, and the place was mostly empty.
