“Great little impromptu spot”

We arrived in Gardiner, MT after spending the day in Yellowstone. It was dusk, we had no reservations, all campgrounds were full in Yellowstone and the Yellowstone RV park sign said “FULL”.
We read a previous review here on Campendium about this spot, saw another RV parked there, and thought, “why not?” By the time we pulled in and finished dinner, there were eight other vehicles parked for the night; ranging from a Honda CRV, a Toyota Tacoma, to a B-van, Class-C, 5th Wheel, and a huge Class-A.
Plenty of roof for everyone.
Highway quieted down at night.
Everyone kept to themselves.
Nobody came knocking on our windows telling us to “move along.”

Our particular parking area was mostly level. There was some dust kicked up from the wind and passing semi-trucks but the dust is a minor issue considering all the other positives.

We are the people who listed this spot on Campendium.

We asked the campground next door if they cared if we parked here, and they said they don’t care.
We stayed here for 3 days as we are full time RV people. You could probably fit 5 big rigs in here.

At night people would see us and park behind us to sleep for the night.

We had 30mb download for AT&T
