Great campsites but some are close together. Site 70 is a nice pull in, 50 amps and level facing woods rather than another camper so this was a bonus. Only one are with dumpsters seemed a good distance away from the campsites but who doesn’t need to get their steps in on a daily basis?

“Everyone Was Great And Helpful. ”

We had campsite 3 on the river side. It was close to river and very shaded. The bad part for my crew was no cell or Wi-Fi. We have att. I was thinking you may have cell service on lakeside The sites are well spaced and gives you a nice outdoors feeling and without cell service it is a beautiful. Park

Wasn't aware site was right next to playground. This would be fantastic for someone with kids, but a bit noisy for those expecting to be able to relax especially early in the morning. My biggest issue was with the bathouse, the one right next to the playground, not sure how often it is cleaned and what is cleaned. The handicapped accessible stall had dead bugs on the walls, mold buildup on the floors, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, and months worth of buildup in the soap dish. I don't by any means expect perfection, but I've stayed at other state parks and those seemed more on top of things. The campground itself seemed pretty well taken care of.

High Falls State park campground is a typical Georgia State Park campground. The sites are large, spacious and level for the most part. While it was me & my wife, we saw lots of kids riding bikes around the loop. Campground roads are a bit narrow, and in good shape. Our camper is only 22', but I saw several large travel trailers around the campground. We like the Riverside campground versus the Lakeside, simply because it is a bit more woodsy. The Lakeside is in the Day use area, I'm sure during the summer and weekends, traffic is busy.
Verizon cell coverage is sketchy.

High Falls SP is a nice park. We have a 38 ft motorhome class A. Narrow roads and steep, but just go slow. Very clean and well maintained. Ride e bikes down to the falls and some trails. Very hot here. 97 the 3 days here! This is our 3rd visit here. Verizon 2 bars.

I stayed here for one night in early April at River Camping Area site # 48. We got here late at night so we didn't have time to explore the campground much since it was raining hard the next day. Some of the sites around me had standing water because of the hard rain. We took a short walk before it started raining and the campground seemed pleasant overall.

I mentioned that the night before I had been at another State Park and it cost $27.00. I was also told that if you're camping you don't pay a daily fee. I told the host that $45 was more than I was willing to pay. I left. I feel like the host was ripping me off.

Nice folks working as camp hosts. Very attentive. They stopped by when they saw my awning deployed with a heads up regarding a forecast of high winds for the next day.
They call you the day before your arrival to see if you would like to check in early and pay the balance over the phone before arrival; and they provide the gate code for those who might arrive after the gates are close.
Only water and electric provided. My $28 daily fee included a 20% discount for ages 62 and older.

We stayed at site 81, nice pull through with lots of shade. No ATT service but Verizon was okay with 2 bars. There was a bit of what looked like poison oak around the site that may to troublesome with small kids. My girl is only 7 months so it was fine for us to avoid.
