There wasn’t a single available spot anywhere within 2.5 hours - found this one, had six open sites, only takes online reservations happily instead of the state park rule that you have to reserve 48 hours before. Reserve before you get there, coverage is minimal once there. Pretty oak trees over all the sites, grassy pale tree hill behind, lots of falling yellow leaves in November, peaceful, would be cramped if full.
Capucine would stay here again

A small campground with RV and Tent sites. The restrooms are very clean, large and well maintained. Shower rooms are available 24/7 free of charge for campers.

My site was #29 which was not level, (>8” to level). 27 & 29 are connected front to back so I was able to back into the vacant #27 to get level. The neighbor next to me (#25), appeared to be full-time living in their multi slide out trailer that had temporary jacks on the slide outs as they were damaged. Not sure if the trailer could even be towed in it’s current condition. After getting situated a woman came out to ask if I was in #27, I said no I was in #29. So she hooked into the power on #27 saying there’s wasn’t working properly. Then proceeded to dump their holding tank at #27 sewer drain right by my picnic table. Very close spaces with no dividers between.
Hidden Valley Lake Association doesn’t seem to put much effort into maintaining this campground.
Could not get much cell service or internet even with a WeBoost cellular booster.

“Way overpriced”

I stayed here as it was very close to family who live in the neighborhood. ONLY stay here for that reason. Campsite was fine, bathrooms could be cleaner, but it’s overpriced. $20 is more reasonable. Near a playground, grocery store, and coffee shop. Also near a golf course.
