Numerous different campsites throughout the mountain. Very quiet area. 15 minute drive to stores. Plenty of wood for fires. We came with the bare minimum to tent camp and stayed for 2 weeks and had an amazing time! WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING REGULARLY!! Highly recommended for tent campers, RV campers, bikers&hikers, and even those that wanna just pull in and build a quick shelter to stay!

We obviously left and headed down to the army of corps campsites around 25 mins away.

There is a fork in the road once you get there, take a left. We mistakenly took a right and there was a down tree we had to hack down it was horrible. There is a fork in the road once you get there, take a left. We mistakenly took a right and there was a down tree we had to hack down it was horrible. Sites are hard to locate, we arrived at dark and couldn’t find our way around. Not super safe for motorhomes, we made it but left due to it not seeming safe and us not being able to find more than one site which was occupied.

I stayed at the third site and counted five total. Packed out some trash, a fair amount of broken glass so sandals not advised, but overall private. Turn at the wooden sign and stay left at the first fork, you'll be there in 5-8 min on a gravel road. Download map as there's no service.

Turn onto forest service road 955. When the road splits, take 955A. At the 4-way intersection on 955A, go straight. There are 4 or 5 campsites, a couple of which are on the creek. The road is gravel with a few potholes. Our van is 9+ feet high and there were a couple of limbs that scraped the top, but not bad.
