The campsites are nicely spaced out and the grounds are very well taken care of. Nice lake view at most sites and staff was wonderful to work with. We did not have service with AT&T. Great stay and will be back.

This place used to be nice but has gone downhill. It’s not terrible but for the price of $75/night it definitely wasn’t worth it. Sites are spacious but the pads are very small. If you have the fold down solid steps good luck getting them on the pad and the drop off the pad at our site was so severe that I had to go to Lowes and get a pallet so that the feet of our steps would reach. They recently added sewer to the sites. However, ours was positioned so that the sewer house had to run UPHILL and it was impossible to drain without going out and struggling with the sewer hose. We attempted to use the shower house which out of 2 only one was open. They were filthy and had no hot water. There is no wi-fi which wouldn’t be a big deal but for $75/night you would expect better amenities. Cell signal was not great despite being so close to Frisco. Unfortunately we will probably look elsewhere next time we go to visit there. The scenery is nice but the amenities are on par with a State park which cost less than 1/2 of what Hidden Cove is charging. We will probably stay at hickory creek COE instead.

This is a great park with lots of space between sites, and water access throughout. We had a great time, and will be back again.

Our 4th trip in our 4 month old Winnebago Micro Minnie. This was a 50 minute drive from home as we slowly extend our trips. This park is fairly big. We lucked out and got one of last two sites available the Wednesday before. We had site 27 which was fairly level with a tree, picnic table and fire pit. Sites are fairly close together but set up to not feel that close. Our site was an easy back in. Very quiet at night, everyone observed the 10 pm sound curfew. We enjoyed the hiking/biking trails, we did 1.7 miles, though there are much more miles along the lake and in the woods. We were across from a bathroom with showers though we didn’t use. Our site did not have sewer but they said they were working on adding to a number of sites along that row. Their dump station was open on the way out. They sell firewood at the check in building. We would definitely go back to this park and get the same site again or in that row. Maybe bring bike next time to ride trails. Very relaxing weekend.

On 3/14/21, I was able to make a reservation for Easter weekend, and there's nothing on their site that indicates that they are still closed. Hope this helps!
noted 4/20/2020
Their website announces they are temporarily closed.
