We loved camping here while jeeping Hermosa to Bolam Pass. It was a great stop with privacy and quiet…away from it all. Our site was clean under the pines with the sound of the creek below.
juromero would stay here again

A must!

Hermosa Park Road is a dirt road with some washboarding that leads to the USFS Sig Creek Campground. It's a good idea to drive slow on this road. Both before and after Sig Creek are many spots where boondocking is possible. I stayed at some kind of vista close to the historical Harris Ranch from 1910, overlooking a long and wide green valley with a meandering creek (in which it is apparently possible to fish small, local trout).
After driving for some miles through the forest the scenery suddenly opened up to a wide view into this valley - very beautiful and soothing for the eyes. During the day there was occasionally some ATV and car traffic on the dirt road which did not disturb me at all (and I'm usually very noise sensitive). The beauty of the place was much stronger than the occasional traffic.
I had some Internet connection early in the mornings, but hardly anything during the day.
This is a great place for boondocking for any size of RV.
Lazy Days Ahead would stay here again
