When I checked in I showed my Good Sam card but was told, "If you reserve on-line you don't get the Good Sam discount." No place in the on-line reservation system to enter a discount card. So much for that! This campground is mostly permanent residents, mostly locals who show up on weekends. The transient sites are grouped in the center, and have little shade. Quite a few dogs and kids. It's an older place, and the owners live in the office/house. Small store, just the basics. Restrooms seem clean, as does the laundry (1 washer and 1 dryer). Lighting in the Laundry room could use some attention -- a single bulb hanging in the center of the room. The pool appeared to be nice, although I didn't use it. The location is way off the beaten path, so no road noise. The road itself is REALLY rough! 80 KPH speed limit, but i couldn't go faster than 60 KPH without my head hitting the roof! There is no over-the-air TV reception, and no cable is provided. Office said streaming would work, but i found the WiFi only medium speed; too weak to stream video. This is a very nice campground if you don't mind the minor inconveniences, and being many kilometers from food, gas & shopping.

This was my first summer at HCC and my daughter and I loved it. As a solo parent family we made friends quickly. My daughter always had a friend to play with. David and Diann are amazing camp owners. David helped me with my popup trailer when I accidently unhitched it from my SUV as I was pulling it out once day to go to Yogi Bear. David went above and beyond and helped me learn which trailer hitch I needed. Beyond thankful for the improvements done to the women's washrooms as we do not have one in our popup. The pool was perfect for those plus 30 days. I am hoping to get as many more nights till end of camping season on Thanksgiving weekend. Quiet hours is at 11pm and it totally respect by guests. Great family friendly campground. The seasonal community comes together to host events for the kids and adults. Highly recommend you come join the folks at HCC. I have Rogers cell phone and had cell coverage.

I have been a full time camper at this campground for 2 seasons and I am I tough customer to satisfy. The owners are the most friendly and accommodating people I have ever met. The campground is well kept, clean, and offer full hookup at most sites. The area for nightly campers is smack in the middle of the park close to the pool and laundry/showers. The pool is well maintained and is a good size based on the size of the park. It is close to Fredericton and Nackawic and overlooks the St John River. The seasonal campers are very welcoming and friendly. I haven’t met anyone that hasn’t greeted us or waves as we come and go. Prices are very reasonable and there are always activities for all age groups all summer. I highly recommend this location and we have just confirmed our site for next year.

They don’t know that we are full time and they have more space than us.
Very small pool, not that we use it.
My partner was invited by someone to Boozy Bingo.
We aren’t big drinkers and we tired from our drive.
Hiking area behind CG was a big field.
There were nice hikes in the area close to the Provincial park a short drive away.
This park is not on the water and their is no access to it.
We were directed here when we tried to book at other places.
It was 1/2-3/4 hour from Fredericton
