“Loud Messy But Free Hook UPS”

Cleaned up ten bags of trash from the pond and it seems like a very popular park. Don’t understand how they let it get like that so much wild life. Also sounds like cars are drag racing out on the main road at night. And trains but the free hook ups were nice and beef capital of the world meat shop had great steaks

We stayed here from Sept. 13, 2023 to Sept. 16, 2023. There are 5 sites, all back in. All sites are full hookups and you are beside the park. However, there are 2 main issues with this place. First, people come throughout the day and evening and run their very loud vehicles for an hour or longer. This was consistently happening everyday we were there. We were never bothered by anyone nor did we have any issues, except the loudest vehicles in town would just sit there with their motors running and it was not hot at all so I don't know why that was happening. The second issue is, this is a cow town. The smell was bad every day, but on our last full day which was a Friday the smell was overpowering to the point of making me feel not well. The positives are the full hookups, the park has a decent walking trail and the town has a Walmart. My video will be active on October 4, 2023.

We got the last site available on a Tuesday night.
Park was full of goose and dog poop. It was windy and lots of trash blowing around and in lake which was very low.
Two RV’s looked like they had set up camping for more than 3 days which was the limit.

We do appreciate that it was free and it had water and electric. The downside was that the through traffic and the loud music and car’s were constant till midnight, then it was decent enough to get some sleep.

Was a little tight on each site, but is great to have full services. Need to make a drop box for donations. Lots of people use the park and lots of kids with cars pulling in and out most of the night. Love seeing the geese on the ponds.

This isn’t fancy, but there is water and electricity and no one bothering you. Better than parking in a Walmart parking lot or a rest stop. Pretty quiet. Feels safe. I appreciate this town’s hospitality. Sending a donation through the mail.

Just spent a terrific couple of days at the campsite in Hereford, Texas. This city park is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained!! The locals seem to really enjoy it too as there were a LOT of people there during my stay. The two lakes that are joined by a bridge, are full of ducks and signs say kids fishing is allowed when accompanied by an adult. There is a playground, swimming pool, and waterslide for activities, as well as covered picnic tables with grills throughout. The FREE site provides water (although my complaint is the strong sulfur type smell), electric and sewer at each RV station for 72 hours with an address provided for donations by mail. There is also a dump station available. It’s well worth staying here and enjoying this park but come early as spaces are limited!

This is a 6 site RV Park. “Park” meaning a place to park for a night or two. It is next to the aqua enter and activities center and meant mainly for participants in events there. It is close to stores and other services that may be needed.
We stopped here for one night while traveling home from an extended vacation. It is convenient but don’t expect a beautiful campground. It is a paved lot tucked in between the aquatic center, a city park and a neighborhood.
We are here on a Tuesday night and arrived around 5:30 pm. The location was empty. Access is good with paved roads. The dip mentioned in other reviews really isn’t an issue, it is not as bad as crossing a speed bump. The signage directing you to the park is minimal. If you find the aquatic center look behind for the RV Park.
Our only concern was it is a bit noisy. Trains and locomotive horns, road noise and cars in and out of the adjacent parking lot are the culprits.
The cost is a donation to the city of Hereford. $8 to $16 seems appropriate for the amenities available and is comparable in price to BLM and National Park Campground with similar amenities.
We would stay here again as an overnight stop but wouldn’t consider this as a destination
