I just finished a job in the area and drove by to see if I wanted to move RV to this campground. Both gates are closed and locked. Got an answer to the message I left on the contact phone number. I just finished a job in the area and drove by to see if I wanted to move RV to this campground. Both gates are closed and locked. Got an answer to the message I left on the contact phone number. "Campground is closed for the season November 1st." Looks like a pretty place to be, but I would be leery of being their in the spring re: flooding. The city park lies outside the protective earthen dike around Hendrum. If there is any chance of river flooding, don't go!

Only 4 spots here with electricity and water. I have a 25 ft Class A and backed easily into a spot. $10 is the reported rate but I've seen no where to pay or any host. Maybe someone will knock and ask for payment but so far I haven't heard a thing. Lots of trees and sites are in the full shade. Very close to the tiny little town with ... more

Maybe someone will knock and ask for payment but so far I haven't heard a thing. Lots of trees and sites are in the full shade. Very close to the tiny little town with a craft bar and grill that has great reviews. I'll have to check it out.

There are a few cramped spots in the back. Didn’t see any hookup but it was so dark in the park that you couldn’t see much.
Overzealous state troopers watch for out of state plates in this area as the roads are pretty empty.
They followed me for miles.
