I drove ahead of our rig in a car and nearly got lost in the desert trying to find a place to park. At one point a pack of 6 dogs rushed the car from an abandoned RV and chased me for 2 miles. Terrifying experience, DO NOT ATTEMPT. Washboard dirt roads throughout the whole desert. If you get lost or run out of gas you’ll be stuck out there.

I think Rodney Dangerfield said the best thing about kids is making them, well the best thing about this site is the drive to it. Total desert washboard dipping road. I raged through it though stupidly in my Sentra and still in one piece. The area has turned into one huge trash pit. Anything and everything is out there from a fairly new stripped Prius to every type of bicycle you could imagine. I was sort of overlooking the trash on my way in cause the drive was so fun, but once I got to the area mapped on Campendium, it was worse than a nightmare. Not to mention on the way in you pass this extremely creepy and rather disturbing Islamic Cemetery out in the middle of this trash?? Seems like something should be done to get these people a proper burial rather than in a scary trash pit?
