Overall Rating
Stayed here from Tuesday through Friday near the end of July and there were never more than four or five sites being used. This state forest campground has a decent boat ramp and a nice beach area which the kids seemed to love. The sites are quite large and many could easily fit in a 30’ trailer or fifth wheel if needed. Thanks to some very attentive hosts, the vault toilets were among the cleanest we have seen in years. Our wonderful stay there was marred only by noise from a county highway and a nearby race track. Northern Michigan Dragway is about a mile away but the noise level was fierce on a Thursday night until 11:30pm. Make sure to check their schedule before you stay there.
