Showers are nice and clean. Mosquitoes are horrendous!

The spots in the loop where I was (1-10) vary wildly on what will fit my 12' squaredrop had no issues larger trailers would have had a problem on my site. #3
If you need sun for solar this campground is deep in the forest so there isn't much direct sun. I had a good
connection to Verizon but my speeds would fade in and out so it wasn't reliable downgraded it one bar from my actual result. There is consistent road noise.
If heading east after camping there is the St Joe River Road that goes north out of St Maries. It is 90 miles of paved highway winding through a beautiful canyon. When it crosses into Montana it changes from pavement to 12 miles of downhill on a wide gravel fire road. Then pavement again as it heads back to I-90.

One can hit 2-bars on at&t in a few locations. The 1-bar did seem to work marginally.

This was our first time at Hawley's landing. The road to get in was pretty narrow but manageable. The area has a ton of trees so you are in the shade pretty much all day long. The lake and trails around the area are really beautiful and worth some hikes. The camping spots are close together though so you do feel like you are on top of people (it did not help that the site next to ours had a family reunion going on so there were lots of people). Our site had water and electrical hook-ups even though the reserveramerica site said only electrical. I would go again, but for sure all sites are not created equal here so try and pick your site carefully and stay on the outside of the loop if you can.

Quiet, totally shaded, friendly camp hosts. Most sites offer little privacy but 17 is almost completely screened by vegetation, though it’s suitable for vans or small rigs only. Clean restrooms with ample hot water. Firewood $7 a bundle.

Our third visit to Hawleys landing. We always enjoy our time here. Sites 17, 43 and 44 have lake views. No issues with bugs. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Backing into sites can be an issue with larger rigs. Look forward to returning.

We stayed in site 12 which was right across the bathrooms (which were very clean) and it was very spacious. We didn't hear any noise from the road or if we did...it just sounded like a river. Arrival and check in was easy and the camp host was very nice. Was able to pick up some internet with the Verizon network but it was slow.
