Historic house (see pictures) on site. RV park is dirt and crushed rock. Check your electric box prior to plugging in as we found a bad outlet and moved to another site. Power has 110, 30 and 50 amp. Water and sewer.
Can't beat the price even if you stay more than a day.

Stayed here when traveling from Fritch, TX to Cheyenne, OK en route to San Antonio and was very pleased with the choice! Couldn't believe it was free for one night with FHU but it was true! The RV Park is located at the large City park which has a lake, playground, pool (closed when we were here), and tons of wide open grass areas. There were a couple of baseball fields adjacent also where I ran my dog in the morning and it's close to the highway.
The whole site is paved but needed some serious weed maintenance although it was mostly smaller scrub and nothing higher than a foot. There were 4 RVs here when we arrived in mid-July, with one old unit that looked like it had been there a long time, and the others had newer rigs but had more established sites. Power was great but we didn't use water or sewer although it was easily available. The site was level and the truck and TT fit just fine at about 50 feet.
We arrived in the afternoon and went across to the park where there was some local activity at the playground and tennis courts. It seems like a nice spot to hang at for locals and tourists, but it could have really looked nice if the City cleaned out the weeds. The showers and bathrooms are what gets this rating docked a star and a half, but that rounds up to 4 stars here at Campendium and since we are fully self contained, those amenities didn't apply to us anyway.
We felt safe the entire time, even when walking the dog at night. There is gas and food close by which makes this spot an excellent pick for an overnight, but probably not for much more than that. I think it's a great move by the City to offer and maintain this place and wish more cities did things like this to bolster tourism in their areas, even if it's just encouraging gas and dining patronage. We would definitely stay here again.

Kudos to the city of Haskell! We love the small town atmosphere!

Um yeah. It’s free for a night…
Used only electric but it’s full hookup. Quite a few full timers but pretty quiet for a Saturday night. The public restroom (mens) wasn’t spotless but clean enough for a shower and basic requirements.

We can't complain for a free overnight stay with hookups. Certainly no frills. Park nearby.

It's great for free overnight with full hookups and a park with a walking trail and playground nearby.
The park use to be really nice but now that it is about 75% full there is some trash and old furniture left behind. The City should have someone maintaining the RV park to keep it clean.
