About the only great thing about this place is the mining area that is open and very secluded.
The 2.5 mile road to get in is extremely rough and washed out in a couple of areas. Would not recommend for trailers or motorhomes.

This boondock is located on the Hart Mine Road east of the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge. At the end of the asphalt south of the Cibola Visitor's Center, turn east and follow the gravel road two miles to spots on either side of the road. The road was in excellent shape, but does pass through a major wash so you might want to reconsider if heavy rain is in the forecast. There is some slope to the campsite, but a good rock base. Views east to the Chocolate Mountains and the Hart Mine & views west to the Cibola refuge, Colorado River, and California. Very strong AT&T signal but a weak Verizon signal on the phones. Didn't have my antenna and amplifier to see if I could boost the Verizon signal. Easy access with very little traffic.
