What a fantastic location! Easy access to Harris Beach, beautiful views and very nice park rangers. Definitely not private or quiet though so not so much our style. 30amp hookup was nice, water tasted terrible so we only used it for washing dishes. Bathrooms were clean, free showers with lots of privacy inclosed in a shower stall. Sites are quite small. Ours A15 was in a terrible spot. It needs a taller hedge and some more shrubs or trees as we were literally sitting next to the walking path to the bathrooms and felt we were in the field with the playground equipment. Playgrounds are fine but having kids playing until after 9pm in the dark made winding down around the fire not as enjoyable. A15 has no privacy and we even had a couple walk through our site to the bathroom. We wouldn’t camp here again if A15 was the only site available. Sites are really well kept and some in the very back had beautifully built rock walls. Best sites for views are in the A20-A25 range.

This was among the best maintained state parks we've been to. Pristine roads and asphalt site pads. Very clean with no trash. The site was slightly unlevel side to side. Site A20 has a spectacular ocean view. The sites are very large and are separated from others with dense hedges.
The checkin time of 4pm and some road/construction noise were really the only negatives.

The ranger at check in was very friendly and helpful. Our site was clean even tho we checked in a bit early. Love the different beach access points. Close to town and other scenic points along Rt. 101. We were in a 35’ Class A, towing. Full hookups.

Overall, a wonderful place. Easy access from Hwy 101, just north of Brookings. Easy drive by at ranger kiosk for check-in. Our full hookup site was functional. You could just see the ocean through the trees from our site. This is the best Oregon State Park we have been to (our 9th). Bathrooms were the same as all the other Oregon state parks, adequate. Our site was easily long enough for a 40' RV and vehicle, look at the site lengths on the website, some are short. No road noise at our site. Our site was very level. Walking around the campground, I would avoid the sites closest to Hwy 101 due to road noise and being un-level.
The location is great, it is about 35 minutes to the Redwood parks. Lots of hiking, Samuel Boardman SP to the north, Oregon redwoods trail and all the redwoods to the south.
AT&T cell service was excellent, all the bars of 4G. No problem streaming from phones without boosting. Many HDTV channels were available.

Popular campground in a beautiful setting. Amazing beach and lots of trees.
Clean and well cared for State Park. We will be back.
CG Fee + $8 reservation service.
With our upgraded tech we were able to work remotely without any problems.
Enjoyed mornings on the beach and evening sunsets.
Make your reservations in advance if you want to get a spot.
Campsites are a little tight but doable but check the campsite details closely when making your reservation.
There is a little road noise from HWY 101 for the campsites in the back row.

I understand now why this campground is coveted! I’d give this place 6-stars if I could.
The many, many positives
→ It’s super, duper clean.
→ The roads and campsites are black-top paved.
→The bathrooms and showers are not only clean but pretty!
→ The showers are divine. The showers are free! (I just got here from CA campgrounds where all showers are pay showers.) The water is ALWAYS hot. The water pressure is insane. You never have an “oh, someone must be flushing a toilet” moment. The shower rooms aren’t cold!
→ There’s a dump station with water fill that’s free.
→ The campsites are pretty private.
→ Our campsite had water and power. What a luxury.
→ The proximity to the beach which is gorgeous!
The one negative
→ It’s such a great campground that it books up quick. We only stayed one night.
5-stars - This campground is just perfect.

We've stayed at Harris Beach State Park before, and both times we've enjoyed our stay immensely. The park is extremely well maintained, most sites have plenty of space, not all have full h/u.
PROS
Many sunny sites with good elbow room (some sites are closer than others)
Our site had nice vegetation to divide each camp site
Lawn near each site
Trash and Grey water cisterns near each campsite
Several shower/bath rooms
Free hot showers
Clean showers and bathroom
Kids play structure
Fire rings/pits
$5 firewood bundles for sale from 3-6pm
Quiet
Short walk to the beach and sunsets
Tide pools
Level paved sites with accessible picnic tables
Close to town for groceries/restaurants/shopping
Quiet
Not too crowded during winter
Some sites have a 'peek-a-boo' ocean view. Our site did (A33)
CONS
No Wifi (if that's your thing)
ATT had 2 bars
Not all sites have full hook-ups some have just water and power (but grey water cisterns are very close to each site)
The best beach front sites are hard to get.
Sites closer to Highway 101 have road noise
Overall we love Harris Beach State Park for all of the PROS and none of the cons would deter us in the least from staying here. The views throughout the park are wonderful, nice paved areas to walk your dog(s), easy walk down to the day-use area or drive if you have limited mobility. Path from the day-use to the beach is nice.
