Harquahala Byway Staging Area

Nice place to stay. Excellent views of the surrounding mountains. There are 2 sites for large rigs and plenty of places to park small campers or vans. We stayed here on a Sunday night in February and had the place to ourselves. Access to back country hiking and off-roading. The bathroom was functional pit toilet but was in need of a service. Verizon cell service is almost non existent. Signal would come and go but never enough to even make a call. Access from I-10 exit at Salome Rd is paved until the entrance to the place....a couple hundred yards of rocky road but not bad. Absolutely quiet at night!
